Posted on: October 31 2026
Your Work Context

The Jan De Nul Group is renowned for its ground-breaking projects, which are literally carried out all over the world and often capture the imagination. These range from building new ports and reclaiming land to carrying out complex infrastructure works and tackling all forms of environmental pollution. A changing world, where our Jan De Nul employees are keen to play their part in an innovative and sustainable way!

As an administrative assistant, your structured and decisive approach ensures that our construction projects run smoothly. In Wallonia, you will be working on infrastructure projects over the coming years.

Your Role

Administrative assistant to the site supervisor

From the site, you’ll ensure the smooth running of this major construction project. You’ll be responsible for providing administrative and organisational support to the site team – including management, project managers and site managers. You’ll work closely with the site manager and therefore play a crucial role, as without your support, our staff and subcontractors on site would be unable to get to work. Your responsibilities:

  • You welcome staff to the site, ensure they have the necessary access badges and direct them to the relevant contacts.
  • You ensure that subcontractors have the correct documents and insurance to be allowed to work on site.
  • You organise the filing of site documents, delivery notes, concrete delivery notes, etc., both digitally and physically.
  • You will handle the administrative follow-up of invoicing and manage the approval process.
  • You will order site and office supplies and ensure they arrive on site on time.
  • You will provide various forms of administrative support to the site managers.
  • You will be able to learn ‘on the job’ thanks to your close collaboration with the site manager and your frequent contact with other staff members.

What do you need to have?

  • You must hold at least an A2 qualification in an administrative field.
  • Some initial work experience would certainly be an advantage, as you’ll be taking on a great deal of responsibility within a large-scale project. However, even without work experience, you can still impress us.
  • With your clear communication style, you can bring order to what is often a complex working environment.
  • You’ll be given a great deal of autonomy, which you’ll use to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible on site.
  • You speak and write French very fluently. Knowledge of English and/or Dutch is an asset.
  • You’re available to be on site from 7 am.
  • You hold a valid Category B driving licence. You will mainly be based at the project site in Waremme, and you are willing to travel to other projects between Namur and Liège.
