As Production Supervisor, you will lead the day-to-day execution of manufacturing operations, ensuring products are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with and be responsible for the shopfloor team, providing clear direction, maintaining momentum, and stepping in operationally when required.
You will be responsible for coordinating workflows, monitoring performance, and supporting your team to achieve production targets efficiently. By fostering a proactive and accountable working environment, you will play a key role in driving productivity and continuous improvement across the factory.
A core part of your role will be to ensure full compliance with HSEQ standards, promoting a strong safety-first culture and maintaining a well-organised, compliant shopfloor environment. You will also ensure that team members are appropriately trained and competent, and that equipment, materials, and processes are in place to support consistent, high-level performance.
This position is critical in ensuring smooth operations, strong team leadership, and the delivery of reliable manufacturing outcomes.

- Demonstrable experience in production operations, gained through hands-on work within a factory environment of comparable size, scale, and complexity is essential.
- A relevant qualification or formal training in production, manufacturing, or operations management would be advantageous.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in shopfloor operations within a structured manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of core manufacturing processes, including production planning, scheduling, and workflow coordination.
- Experience with 5S, lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to lead from the front, with a practical, hands-on approach and the capability to motivate teams, build trust, and foster a positive, collaborative culture.
- Confident and decisive decision-maker, with strong organisational, planning, and posses excellent communication skills.
- Solid understanding of HSEQ requirements, with a proactive and uncompromising commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant, and well-managed working environment.
- Ability to identify inefficiencies, drive improvements, and support the ongoing development of people, processes, and performance.
- Competent team leader skills and experience, able to performance manage individuals and build collaborative team environment.
- IOSHH trained and competent with managing risk and writing risk assessments.
- Competence in creating SOPs.

Take full ownership of day-to-day production operations, ensuring activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with quality and delivery expectations. Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues that could impact output, product quality, or operational safety.
Demonstrate active commitment to QHSSE standards, ensuring full compliance with policies, procedures, and the Integrated Management System (IMS), and promoting best practice across all activities.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement across the shopfloor, embedding 5S and lean manufacturing principles to optimise workflows, reduce waste, improve productivity, and strengthen health, safety, and environmental performance.
Lead and manage the production team on a daily basis, fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing environment. Promote open communication, collaboration, and accountability, ensuring individuals feel supported, engaged, and aligned with shared goals.
Monitor and deliver against all shopfloor KPIs, taking timely corrective action where required to ensure targets are consistently achieved and aligned with company values and performance expectations.
Work closely with the Production Planner to maintain an accurate and achievable production plan. Contribute to effective capacity and resource planning, ensuring labour and equipment are utilised efficiently and schedules are met.
Champion the effective use of D365, ensuring all production data is recorded accurately and in real time to enable clear visibility of performance, informed decision-making, and continuous improvement.
Manage and develop team capability in line with the competency matrix, ensuring all employees are appropriately trained and multi-skilled to support operational flexibility and resilience.
Collaborate proactively with the Production Planner and Stores function to ensure the timely availability of materials and components, minimising downtime and supporting uninterrupted production flow.
Oversee the maintenance and reliability of production equipment, ensuring robust preventative maintenance practices are followed. Coordinate the timely repair or replacement of faulty machinery to minimise disruption.
Act as deputy for the Production Manager when required, maintaining continuity of leadership and decision-making in their absence.
Take immediate action to stop any activity that is unsafe or non-compliant with QHSSE requirements, reinforcing a strong safety-first culture across the operation. |
