SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Mammoet is currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support our EMD (Equipment Maintenance Department) team at our Edmonton branch. The successful candidate should demonstrate multitasking skills while following guidance from the EMD Manager and be capable of independently completing tasks. This role is suited for a dynamic individual who excels in a high-energy environment and embraces daily challenges.


WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Yard Asset Inventory Clerk (Role)
• Administer sign-in / sign-out system for all equipment movement.
• Track component movement across business units.
• Manage Bill of Lading (BOL) documentation.
• Ensure full traceability of inbound/outbound shipments.
• Support audits, reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Support various EMD/Operations functions (Lease agreements/invoicing and other administrative tasks).
• Maintain a live yard plot plan (real-time updates) with use of AutoCAD.
Equipment Requests & Allocation
• Ship appropriate equipment to projects or requestors, ensuring correct quantities and specifications.
• Double check numbers with SAP to ensure correct inventory.
• Organize and archive job documentation in designated folders.
5 Million Numbers Management
• Ensure accurate details and attachments are linked to the correct assets.
Third-Party Requests & Leasing
• Handle third-party equipment requests using Quote/Lease forms.
• Maintain clear, concise communication with external parties.
Inspections & Certification Coordination
• Confirm certifications are valid and current or expired certifications.
Administrative and Record-Keeping
• Documentation: Keep detailed logs of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for all Western Canada assets.

Safety and Compliance
• Safety Protocol Adherence: Ensure all equipment meets safety regulations and is suitable for the specific crane operations, considering factors like load capacity, rigging configuration, and environmental conditions.
Technical and Operational Support
• Load Planning Assistance: Support the development of lift plans by providing input on the selection and configuration of equipment, such as choosing the right slings or spreader bars based on load weight and dimensions.
• Technical Knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of equipment specifications, including load capacities, material compatibility, and rigging techniques, to provide expert advice to crane crews.
• Problem-Solving: Address issues related to equipment availability or functionality, such as sourcing alternatives or coordinating repairs during urgent project timelines.
General Support
• Assist team members as needed, including covering absences (e.g., MO# creation, emails, certifications).
• Support department projects, spreadsheets, inquiries, and documentation.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Education & Experience

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • Intermediate computer skills
  • SAP experience an asset, willing to train
  • Minimum 2-3 year experience in an office environment
