Base/Plant Operative
Shetland
A vacancy has arisen for a Base/Plant Operative in Shetland. The role shall support operations at Greenhead Base and other Peterson and client sites throughout Shetland as required. Duties will include carrying out slinger/banksman duties and/or operating plant, conducting pre-use inspections of equipment, loading and unloading vessels and general yard/quayside duties.
The candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to work both on their own initiative and within a team and have good communication skills. They must also strive to provide excellent customer service and have a strong commitment to health and safety.
The successful candidates should have previous knowledge and experience in a similar role and preferably hold a Banksman/Slinger OPITO or NPORS Certificate. For Plant, Forklift RTITB or NPORS, Telehandler, Truck HGV driver, HIAB certification and plant experience would be advantageous, although Training could be provided to the right applicant.
