Trade Finance Specialist - Bank Guarantee Manager

As a Bank Guarantee Manager, you are operationally responsible for the entire process surrounding bank guarantees, letters of credit, etc., from application to settlement. You will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders, including commercial teams, legal departments and trade finance departments of financial institutions. Thanks to your accuracy and stress resistance, you know how to optimally represent the interests of the organization.

YOUR IMPACT
  • Assessing, drafting, amending and settling bank guarantees, letters of credit and other trade finance instruments,
  • Analyzing warranty conditions and risks and advising on this to internal stakeholders.
  • Monitoring the validity periods of current warranties and ensuring timely renewal or release.
  • Maintaining contacts with banks, customers and internal stakeholders about bank guarantees, letters of credit and other trade finance instruments.
  • Ensuring the availability of guarantee limits with financial institutions to support our guarantee needs.
  • Management of the guarantee portfolio, including documentation, reporting, management information and compliance.
  • Identifying and advising on improvements in processes and documentation relating to bank guarantees, letters of credit and other trade finance instruments.
  • Providing internal training/workshops on trade finance instruments and related processes.
ABOUT YOU
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in trade finance, preferably within a financial institution.
  • Extensive knowledge of the warranty process, warranty conditions and contractual provisions.
  • A good understanding of the legal and financial aspects of bank guarantees and other trade finance instruments.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive and structured work attitude.
  • Good communication skills in both Dutch and English.
