Als teamleider mechanical fitter bij Damen Shiprepair Amsterdam combineer jij vakmanschap en leiderschap op de werf. Ben jij een teamleider met kennis van scheepsreparatie en wil jij graag 40 vakantiedagen?
De mechanical fitters uit jouw team voeren de montagewerkzaamheden uit aan diverse zeegaande schepen. Demonteren en monteren van pompen, winches en schroefassen, tandwielkassen en nog veel meer. Je houd je bezig met het aansturen van het team. Jij bepaalt de optimale werkvolgorde, het aantal medewerkers, materialen en gereedschappen. Waar nodig werk je mee en zorg je dat de planning behaalt wordt.
Juiste voorbereiding, zoals het bepalen van de werkvolgorde en verdelen van het werk, capaciteitsplanning en de aanwezigheid van gereedschappen en materialen op basis van de tekeningen.
Leidinggeven aan een groep mechanical fitters en erop toezien dat zij hun werk naar behoren uitvoeren.
Het navolgen van de veiligheids- en bedrijfsvoorschriften.
Meedenken in het kader van verhogen van de efficiency en het uitdragen van de bedrijfsdoelstellingen.
Kennis op het gebied van hydrauliek, pneumatiek en dieselmotoren.
Ervaring in de scheepreparatie/scheepsbouw/offshore.
Goed en zelfstandig tekening kunnen lezen.
In bezig van VCA VOL, of bereid deze te behalen.
Beschikt over leidinggevende en motiverende capaciteiten en bent stressbestendig.
Beheersing van de Nederlandse en Engelse taal.

Verder krijg je 27 vakantiedagen en 13 ADV-dagen per jaar (bij een fulltime dienstverband) en vakantiegeld.

As a Team Leader Mechanical Fitter at Damen Shiprepair Amsterdam, you combine hands-on expertise with leadership on the shipyard. Are you a team leader with knowledge of ship repair and looking forward to 40 vacation days? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where no day is the same?
Your team of mechanical fitters carries out assembly work on a variety of seagoing vessels. They dismantle and assemble pumps, winches, shafts, gearboxes, and more. You lead the team, set the optimal work order, allocate staff, materials, and tools. Where needed, you join in and ensure the schedule is met.
Prepare work: define work order, distribute tasks, plan capacity, ensure tools and materials are available according to drawings.
Lead a team of mechanical fitters and ensure work is executed properly.
Follow safety and company regulations.
Contribute to efficiency improvements and support company objectives.
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and diesel engines.
Experience in ship repair, shipbuilding, or offshore.
Able to read technical drawings independently.
VCA VOL certified, or willing to obtain it.
Leadership and motivational skills; stress-resistant.
Fluent in Dutch and English.

The salary for this position ranges between €3900 and €4600 gross per month (based on a full-time contract), excluding holiday allowance. The exact salary will depend on your knowledge and experience. This position falls under the collective labour agreement Metalektro.
In addition, we offer 27 vacation days and 13 ADV days per year (full-time),holiday allowance, travel expense (23 cents/km), a solid pension scheme.
