About Damen Workboats
At Damen Workboats, we develop, design, and build a portfolio of tugs, dredgers, and workboats with precision and purpose. Our approach is rooted in smart-customized standard designs and series production, enabling us to deliver innovative solutions that meet evolving market demands. We balance quality, service, price, and delivery time to provide optimal value to our clients worldwide.
Our Supply Chain department plays a pivotal role in fulfilling global production demands and continuously optimizing our supply chain setup across the division.
Your Impact as a Material Planner
As a Material Planner, you’ll be at the heart of our operations—ensuring that the right materials are in the right place at the right time. You’ll drive efficiency, reduce waste, and support our shipbuilding excellence through smart planning and proactive problem-solving.
The role
Plan & Optimize
Develop and maintain Material Requirements Plans (MRP) to meet yard needs.
Balance global material and component flows to optimize quality, service, and cost.
Manage & Execute
Handle stock movements, inventory levels, and ad-hoc material requests.
Ensure timely fulfillment by transferring stock, shifting priorities, or escalating to Procurement.
Collaborate & Communicate
Work closely with Quality and Warehouse teams to manage received, rejected, or defective materials.
Provide forecast insights and delivery schedules to internal stakeholders.
Improve & Innovate
Support Phase In/Out processes across plants.
Make transport mode decisions (sea, air, road) based on urgency and cost.
Suggest and implement supply chain improvements backed by KPIs and analysis.
Skills and experience
We’re looking for pioneers who dare to innovate and take ownership. You bring:
A secondary vocational education or Bachelor’s degree.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and Excel.
Planning experience in a multinational environment.
A pragmatic, results-driven mindset.
Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
Enthusiasm, analytical thinking, and a proactive attitude.
