SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

As a Sales Account Manager at Mammoet you will be responsible for developing and securing opportunities by leveraging technical, operational, and commercial expertise to solve complex customer challenges. This role requires the ability to assess field conditions, understand lifting and transport requirements, develop practical execution solutions, coordinate equipment and personnel resources, prepare estimates and proposals, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, sound commercial judgment, operational awareness, and the ability to perform effectively under demanding timelines while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Working closely with customers, operations, and engineering teams, they assess project requirements, develop execution concepts, and ensure customers receive the best possible Mammoet service from initial inquiry through project award.


WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Promote and deliver Mammoet's services, equipment, and expertise within a designated geographical territory.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through regular site visits, job walks, and customer engagement.
  • Assess field conditions and customer requirements to develop safe, practical, and executable solutions.
  • Develop project estimates, identify equipment and personnel requirements, and prepare accurate proposals and quotations aligned with customer needs and operational capabilities.
  • Manage multiple opportunities simultaneously while responding effectively to tight customer timelines and changing priorities.
  • Solve customer challenges through practical solutions aligned with operational capabilities, contractual requirements, and internal standards.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and project teams to validate execution strategies, ensure resource availability, and align proposed solutions with operational capabilities.
  • Contribute to the profitable growth of Mammoet through sound commercial judgment, technical expertise, and successful project execution.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Advanced experience in estimating, proposal development, CRM management, and commercial opportunity management. Professional-level knowledge of HLT operations, equipment applications and limitations, contract management practices, and tender management.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess jobsites, understand customer requirements, and develop practical execution concepts with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of contract management practices, tender management, and commercial risk considerations.
  • Strong ability to perform under pressure, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work within aggressive deadlines.
  • Demonstrated understanding of equipment selection, operational constraints, and execution planning for lifting, transport, rigging, and specialized projects.
  • Ability to independently evaluate field conditions, identify execution risks and constraints, determine equipment and personnel requirements, and develop practical solutions with limited information and tight turnaround expectations.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Proven experience in industrial services, construction, heavy lift, transport, petrochemical, refining, power generation, offshore, ports, mining, manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a commercial, technical, engineering, construction management, or related discipline preferred. Relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Experience may be gained through sales, operations, project management, estimating, or a combination of commercial and operational roles.
