Shape financial performance across global Grid Solutions operations

Do you want to play a key role in supporting the green transition through financial planning, reporting, and business partnership across an international organization? As Senior Manager, FP&A Grid Solutions, you will be responsible for financial controlling, forecasting, budgeting, and performance management for NKT’s global Grid Solutions business. This is an opportunity to contribute to a growing business area while working closely with senior stakeholders across multiple countries and functions.

Oversee global planning, reporting and financial performance

As Senior Manager, FP&A Grid Solutions, you will be responsible for financial planning and analysis activities across the global Grid Solutions hubs. You will work closely with management, Group Finance, Treasury, Shared Service Center teams, and other stakeholders to provide financial transparency, support decision-making, and ensure reliable reporting. You will also contribute to finance transformation initiatives and support strategic projects across the business.

Your responsibility will be to:

  • Manage financial controlling, reporting and consolidation activities
  • Coordinate planning, forecasting and budgeting processes
  • Analyze financial performance, risks and business trends
  • Provide financial recommendations and business partnering support
  • Develop the FP&A team and support finance transformation initiatives

The position can be based in Germany, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, or Lithuania. Travel requirements will be determined based on business needs (10-20%). You will report to Arno Vuik, VP, Head of Finance Grid Solutions & Accessories, and work closely with stakeholders across the global organization.

Experienced finance professional with people management skills

You are a collaborative and methodical person who enjoys working across functions, cultures, and organizational levels. You communicate clearly, build trusted relationships, and balance strategic thinking with attention to detail. You are comfortable navigating a changing environment and supporting stakeholders with meaningful financial insights while creating a positive and inclusive team environment.

You also have:

  • University degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
  • Extensive experience within FP&A and financial controlling
  • Experience managing teams in a matrix organization
  • Knowledge of planning, forecasting, budgeting and financial reporting processes
  • Proficiency with SAP, OneStream, BI tools and advanced Excel
  • Experience with change management
  • Experience with commodity and foreign exchange hedging processes

Support growth and enable the green transition

NKT is committed to developing a diverse organization and culture where people of diverse backgrounds can grow and are inspired to do their best. We have high ambitions on establishing gender diversity at NKT and encouraging all interested candidates to apply – even if you don’t tick all the boxes described. We believe that a diverse organization enables long-term performance, and that an inclusive and welcoming culture creates a better work environment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the financial performance of NKT’s Grid Solutions business while supporting projects that enable the expansion of critical energy infrastructure. You will work in a collaborative international environment, partner with experienced colleagues across functions, and further develop your financial, leadership, and business partnering capabilities.

“The person joining my team should be more than a numbers expert. I am looking for someone who can translate data into meaningful insights, understand the broader business context, and continuously look for opportunities to improve the way we work. I value colleagues who bring clear perspectives, have the confidence to speak up, and can act as trusted sparring partners. If you can uncover the story behind the numbers and feel comfortable saying, ‘I see it differently,’ you will thrive in this role.", says Hiring Manager, Arno Vuik.

About NKT

Our company at a glance

In a globalised and interconnected world, with a rapidly increasing population and demand for a modern lifestyle, the need for power is constantly growing. At NKT, we have made it our purpose to bring power to life by helping meet the growing need for energy.

Founded in 1891, during the second industrial revolution, we pioneered the cable industry in the Nordics. Today, we master the fourth industrial revolution with our energy transportation expertise and cost-effective manufacturing facilities at the highest technological level, delivering lifetime value to our customers and the global society.

Trusted partnerships

We take pride in long-term relationships and effortless collaborations, making doing business with us simple, convenient, and efficient. Many of our customers have been with us for decades, maybe because we see ourselves as both their local partner and international supplier, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure the right cable solution.

Performing in real life

The environments in which our products and solutions function are often harsh and unfriendly. Laying down a long sea cable on the ocean floor in an unexpected storm or repairing 100-year-old power cables in the ground of a busy metropolis is not for everyone. We know that performance counts in challenging circumstances, and that is when we deliver.
