About the role:

Location: Sharjah

Hours: Full-time

The Service Delivery Engineer supports the Service Delivery Manager in the safe, efficient and commercially controlled delivery of Certification & Inspection and associated service projects. The role coordinates personnel, equipment, certification, project documentation, logistics and internal support requirements from handover through mobilisation, execution and close-out. The position acts as a key operational link between clients, technicians and Motive departments, escalating material risks, deviations and approval requirements to the Service Delivery Manager.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of projects across the MENA region, working closely with clients, technicians and colleagues to ensure operations run safely, efficiently and to the highest standard. You'll gain exposure to every stage of the project lifecycle while contributing to the continued success of our Testing, Inspection & Certification division.

About the team:

As a part of our FZE team, you’ll become part of a small, hardworking, and skilled team who are used to working to a high standard and specification. Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, you will be supported by our team of onshore and offshore personnel working alongside you, whose goal, much like your own, will be to enable a quick and safe turn-around of equipment.

Responsibilities:

People

  • Adopt and promote the Motive Offshore Group People Values and ensure their use is embedded throughout.
  • Be a positive ambassador for Motive Offshore Group Ltd
  • Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders – clients, colleagues, suppliers etc.

Client and Internal Liaison:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through effective communication and project delivery.
  • Act as an operational point of contact during project delivery, providing accurate updates and escalating technical, commercial or HSEQ matters as appropriate.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Rentals, Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, HR, HSEQ and other internal teams to meet delivery requirements.
  • Develop effective working relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and colleagues and represent Motive professionally.

Planet

  • Lead by example in setting the highest possible standards in the promotion of People Values, HSEQ procedures and best practice, ensuring compliance to the Motive Offshore Group HSEQ Policy, procedures, standards and regulatory obligations.
  • Immediately report all accidents, incidents, near misses or environmental concerns
  • Adhere to and participate in company-wide sustainability policies, procedures and initiatives as they are developed to support our Net Zero objectives.

Product

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Implement quality assurance processes to maintain the highest standards of service delivery.

Quality, Reporting and Continuous Improvement:

  • Check project documentation and service reports for completeness and route them to the appropriately authorised person for technical review and approval.
  • Support project close-out reviews, capture lessons learned and contribute to improvements in operational procedures, templates and equipment utilisation.
  • Maintain accurate operational data and support reporting against delivery, utilisation, cost, quality and HSEQ performance indicators
  • Undertake other reasonable duties aligned with the role, competence and operational needs of the business.

Service Delivery and Project Coordination:

  • Support the Service Delivery Manager with the planning, mobilisation, execution and close-out of projects.
  • Review operational handovers and confirm scope, deliverables, schedule, resources, equipment, documentation and client-specific requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain project plans, mobilisation checklists, action trackers and daily operational updates.
  • Monitor project progress, identify delivery risks or schedule deviations and escalate issues promptly with recommended corrective actions.
  • Support out-of-hours operational requirements and urgent mobilisations when reasonably required by the business.

Work Orders and Project Documentation:

  • Create, issue and maintain work orders for personnel, equipment and materials allocated to projects.
  • Ensure work orders contain the correct scope, equipment details, certification requirements and delivery instructions.
  • Maintain accurate project files, including, work orders, mobilisation records, timesheets, equipment lists, certificates, reports and close-out documentation.

Technician Coordination:

  • Coordinate the day-to-day allocation, mobilisation and demobilisation of technicians.
  • Confirm personnel competence, training, medicals, inductions and site-specific approvals before mobilisation.
  • Issue clear job briefs, confirm travel and reporting arrangements, monitor attendance and timesheet completion, and maintain communication during execution.
  • Provide day-to-day operational guidance and escalate performance, conduct, welfare or competence concerns to the Service Delivery Manager.

Equipment, Certification and Readiness:

  • Coordinate equipment selection, reservation, preparation, dispatch and return in accordance with project requirements.
  • Maintain visibility of equipment availability, location, condition, maintenance status, calibration and certification validity.
  • Compile and verify equipment certification packs, ensuring traceability and that expired, damaged or non-compliant equipment is not mobilised.
  • Coordinate post-project equipment checks, quarantine, maintenance, repair and recertification requirements with relevant departments.

Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT):

  • Plan and coordinate FATs and pre-mobilisation readiness checks for Motive equipment before deployment.
  • Prepare FAT documentation and acceptance criteria, coordinate attendance by relevant stakeholders, record results and ensure actions or defects are closed before release.

Costing, Procurement and Commercial Control:

  • Assist with project costing sheets, operational estimates and cost-to-complete updates covering labour, equipment, travel, freight, consumables and subcontracted services.
  • Obtain supplier and subcontractor quotations and raise or coordinate purchase requisitions in line with delegated authority and company procedures.
  • Do not commit the company to unapproved expenditure or commercial terms; escalate approval requirements to the Service Delivery Manager.

Travel, Logistics and Site Access:

  • Liaise with internal departments and approved providers to arrange flights, accommodation, visas, work permits, gate passes, transport, freight and customs documentation.
  • Confirm mobilisation details with personnel and stakeholders and maintain contingency plans for foreseeable travel, access or logistics risks.
  • Coordinate the ordering, receipt and delivery of project equipment, consumables and materials, ensuring requirements are available before mobilisation.

Required skills / knowledge:

  • Engineering qualification, technical diploma or equivalent relevant operational experience.
  • Experience in service delivery, operations, project coordination or a related role within the offshore, lifting, inspection, testing, rental or engineering services sector.
  • Practical understanding of project mobilisation, personnel coordination, equipment control, certification and operational documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical scopes, equipment certificates, client requirements and project documentation.
  • Sound commercial awareness, including project costing, purchase requisitions and variation capture.
  • Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and urgent operational requirements.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to coordinate technicians, subcontractors, clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of HSEQ requirements, risk assessment and quality control in an operational environment.
  • High attention to detail and a disciplined approach to document control, equipment traceability and certification validity.
  • Willingness to travel and work outside normal office hours when required to support operational delivery.
  • UAE driving licence or the ability to obtain one is desirable.
  • Knowledge of lifting equipment inspection, NDT, magnetic rope testing, wire-rope services or spooling operations is desirable.
  • Experience supporting ADNOC, Aramco or other major operator requirements is desirable.
