Project Manager Yachting

The Role

Leads and coordinates new build yacht projects from contract award through delivery, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with expected Damen quality standards and customer requirements.

Acts as the main coordination point between Damen Yachting, Engineering, Production, Procurement, Planning, Quality Control, suppliers, Warehouse, subcontractors, classification societies, commissioning team and the customer throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage overall project plans, schedules, milestones, delivery dates, and action lists, bi-weekly report required
  • Coordinate Engineering, Production, Procurement, Planning, Quality Control, and other internal departments throughout the project
  • Ensure technical information, client requests, drawings, and material packages are delivered to Production on time with minimum waste of time and material
  • Monitor project progress, budget, costs, risks, and resource allocation, and take corrective actions when required
  • Lead project kick-off meetings and coordinate project execution with all stakeholders
  • Manage suppliers, subcontractors, and technical deliverables to ensure project objectives are achieved
  • Coordinate production activities, monitor construction progress, and resolve technical and operational issues
  • Ensure effective communication between internal departments, customers, and classification societies
  • Coordinate commissioning, sea trials, customer inspections, and final delivery activities
  • Identify improvement opportunities for project execution, production processes, quality, and cost efficiency
  • Lead, coach, and coordinate Project Engineers and the project team to achieve project targets
  • Prepare regular project status reports, identify risks, and provide updates to senior management
  • Capture lessons learned and contribute to the continuous improvement of future yacht projects
  • Ensure compliance with HSE, environmental, quality, and company procedures throughout the project lifecycle

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant project management experience in the yacht building industry
  • Strong experience in managing new build yacht projects from engineering through delivery
  • Applications from candidates without shipbuilding experience will not be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, production coordination, procurement, subcontractor management, and quality processes
  • Proven leadership, stakeholder management, planning, problem-solving, and reporting skills
  • Fluent in English

Other Requirements

  • Based in or willing to relocate to Antalya
  • Willing to travel abroad when required
  • No military obligation for male candidates
