Improve data quality, tendering excellence, and reporting improvement

Do you want to help advance commercial operations and support a data-driven, process-focused team? As a Commercial Services Specialist, you will play an important part in improving tendering performance, enhancing data quality, and expanding KPI reporting across a global business that is continuously changing. This opportunity offers the chance to enhance response times, improve CRM/SAP data quality, and support cross-functional collaboration across multiple markets. You will be part of an international setup where your structured approach and attention to detail will directly improve business performance and customer satisfaction. Do you want to contribute to a more efficient and reliable commercial services function?

Support tendering excellence, data quality, and reporting accuracy

In this role, you will act as a cross-functional resource within the Commercial Services / Commercial Support Center, supporting tender coordination, quotation follow-up, and business reporting. You will work closely with Sales, Product Management, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate documentation, timely submissions, and reliable data management in CRM/SAP systems.
Your contribution will help make data more consistent, improve internal processes, and enable better decision-making across markets, while ensuring alignment and consistent ways of working across functions.

Your responsibility will be to:

  • Support and coordinate tendering processes end-to-end, ensuring high-quality, compliant and timely submissions across stakeholders
  • Ensure high data accuracy and completeness in CRM/SAP (opportunities, quotations, customer data), supporting reliable forecasting, reporting, and decision-making
  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and reporting, translating data into clear insights and recommendations for management
  • Spot workflow gaps and guide initiatives for standardization, simplification, and automation to increase efficiency and consistency
  • Provide cross-functional support to teams, including support to order management activities when needed
  • Act as a transversal support across markets and functions, ensuring alignment and consistent ways of working

This role is based on-site in Esposende, Portugal, reporting to the Senior Commercial Services Manager, with occasional international travel according to business needs.

Structured and analytical professional with collaborative mindset

You are a detail-oriented and organized professional who thrives in structured environments and meets deadlines reliably.

You bring a clear sense of responsibility, curiosity for systems and data, and a service-oriented mindset when collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

You communicate clearly and value accuracy, while also showing initiative in improving processes and contributing to team efficiency.

You take initiative to identify better ways of working, examine current practices, and remain accountable for outcomes.

You are motivated to grow into a key specialist role within commercial operations, with increasing responsibility in data, processes, and cross-functional coordination.

You enjoy working in an international, cross-functional environment where collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus contribute to operational excellence and better business results.

You also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or related field
  • 1–2 years of experience in commercial services, sales support, or reporting
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (data handling, formulas, pivot tables)
  • Fluency in English and French (written and spoken)
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP and CRM systems (experience valued)

In this role, you will gain exposure to international markets, collaborate with experienced professionals, and develop your skills in tendering, reporting, and process optimization. You will be part of a supportive team where knowledge sharing and continuous improvement are valued, enabling you to grow professionally within a global organization committed to innovation and operational excellence.

About NKT

Our company at a glance

In a globalised and interconnected world, with a rapidly increasing population and demand for a modern lifestyle, the need for power is constantly growing. At NKT, we have made it our purpose to bring power to life by helping meet the growing need for energy.

Founded in 1891, during the second industrial revolution, we pioneered the cable industry in the Nordics. Today, we master the fourth industrial revolution with our energy transportation expertise and cost-effective manufacturing facilities at the highest technological level, delivering lifetime value to our customers and the global society.

Trusted partnerships

We take pride in long-term relationships and effortless collaborations, making doing business with us simple, convenient, and efficient. Many of our customers have been with us for decades, maybe because we see ourselves as both their local partner and international supplier, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure the right cable solution.

Performing in real life

The environments in which our products and solutions function are often harsh and unfriendly. Laying down a long sea cable on the ocean floor in an unexpected storm or repairing 100-year-old power cables in the ground of a busy metropolis is not for everyone. We know that performance counts in challenging circumstances, and that is when we deliver.

Overview
