You will join the Damen OneStream Team within Group Control, where the financial processes, models and reporting are continuously monitored and enhanced to support the growth and ambitions of the organization. OneStream plays an increasingly important role in financial decision-making. The OneStream Team operates at the core of the financial landscape, collaborating closely with stakeholders across multiple divisions, countries and functions.

Together with the team, you will pro-actively contribute to maintain and initiate optimizing the OneStream platform, strengthening governance, and improving the consistency of financial data, KPIs, and reports.

Your Role

As OneStream Operations Specialist, you play a key role in managing and optimizing the OneStream platform as the core solution for financial consolidation, reporting, and planning.

You are responsible for ensuring the stability, reliability, and initiate continuous improvement of the platform. By standardizing processes, improving data quality, and enabling data-driven decision-making, you help strengthen the organization’s financial capabilities.

Working within the Group Control / Financial Systems domain, you collaborate closely with Finance, IT, and Data & Analytics teams, supporting users globally and acting as a bridge between business and technology.

This role offers a strong opportunity to deepen your expertise in OneStream while contributing to an international finance transformation journey.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-Day Operations & Support

  • First point of contact for users (helpdesk function)
  • Resolve incidents and handle user requests
  • Monitor data loads, consolidations, and workflows
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
  • Support forecast and budgeting cycles
  • Manage users, roles, and access rights

System Management & Maintenance

  • Perform small system changes (configuration, metadata updates)
  • Maintain cubes, dimensions, and mappings
  • Support releases, updates, and testing activities
  • Identify and resolve performance issues

Data & Process Control

  • Monitor data quality and perform reconciliations
  • Oversee integrations with source systems (e.g., ERP)
  • Investigate and resolve data inconsistencies
  • Ensure reliable and consistent financial reporting

Continuous Improvement (Practical)

  • Identify recurring issues and address root causes
  • Automate manual steps where possible
  • Standardize templates and ways of working
  • Implement small improvements based on user feedback

User Support & Collaboration

  • Support and train users
  • Coordinate with Finance and IT on issues
  • Document solutions and working instructions
  • Share best practice across the organization

What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or similar
  • 3–6 years of excellent experience in OneStream
  • Understanding of financial consolidation, reporting, and planning processes

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong combination of finance and IT understanding
  • Experience with data integration and data modelling
  • Knowledge of consolidation rules and accounting principles (IFRS/Dutch GAAP)
  • Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Experience with change and release management

Damen Shiprepair & Conversion (DSC) has a worldwide network of 18 repair and conversion yards with drydocks ranging up to 420 x 80 metres. DSC yards have extensive experience – completing more than 1,300 projects every year, from normal drydockings for scheduled maintenance to damage repair, right up to extensive refit and conversion projects.

Services

Being active in the maritime industry demands continuous vessel reliability. For nearly all vessel types Damen offers a broad range of services, including maintenance, spare parts delivery, training and the transfer of shipbuilding know-how.

Components

Damen is also specialised in the design and production of various marine components including propeller nozzles, rudders, special towing winches, anchors, anchor chains and steel works.
