Bij Windcat staan we al meer dan twee decennia aan de frontlinie van het leveren van specialistische bemanningstransfervloot aan de offshore-industrie. Windcat is onderdeel van CMB.TECH een divers en toekomstbestendig maritiem bedrijf. CMB.TECH bouwt, bezit, exploiteert en ontwerpt een toekomstbestendige vloot aangedreven door waterstof of ammoniak. Ze beheren een vloot van meer dan 150 zeeschepen in droge bulk, containervervoer, chemische tankers, offshore wind en olietankers.

Windcat integreert de in-house ontwikkelde waterstof dual-fuel technologie op alle nieuwbouwschepen, wat een belangrijke stap markeert in het verminderen van CO2-uitstoot.

Om dit te realiseren zijn we op zoek naar een Werkvoorbereider / Project Assistent om ons nieuwbouw technische team te versterken, wiens expertise in het superviseren van alle facetten van het ontwerp en de bouw van nieuwe schepen cruciaal is voor het succes van onze langetermijnplannen.

Functieomschrijving
Als Technisch Superintendent maak je onder leiding van de Technisch Manager deel uit van een compact, hecht team. Samen zijn jullie verantwoordelijk voor het technisch beheer van onze vloot. Dit omvat alles van nieuwbouwprojecten tot modificaties en onderhoudswerkzaamheden. Je bent een echte spil in het web tussen techniek, bemanning en leveranciers.

Taken en verantwoordelijkheden

Zorgen dat onze schepen technisch operationeel zijn en onderhoud/reparaties beheren in overeenstemming met het beheersysteem.
Reparaties coördineren om stilstand te minimaliseren.
Root cause analysis uitvoeren voor technische storingen, trends identificeren en rapporteren binnen de maritieme vloot.
Samenwerken met vlootmanagers om proactief en gepland onderhoud aan boord uit te voeren met engineers en bemanning.
Relaties beheren met belangrijke leveranciers.
Dagelijkse ondersteuning en advies bieden met betrekking tot de technische vereisten van een deel van de maritieme vloot.
Voldoende instructie en coaching geven aan bemanningsleden met betrekking tot onderhoud aan boord, administratie en rapportage schip/wal.
Droogdok en refits plannen en regelen in samenwerking met klasse- en vlaginspecties.
Droogdok van schepen bijwonen, helpen bij reparaties/refits en specificaties bepalen voor onderhoud indien nodig.
Voorraad van reserveonderdelen beheren en apparatuur en diensten bestellen voor schepen.
Projectbudgetten voorbereiden en bewaken.
Technische activiteiten coördineren in nauwe samenwerking met relevante afdelingen.
Shore-Based Engineers begeleiden en instrueren samen met de Technisch Manager en indien nodig derden inschakelen.
Toepasselijke technische regels en voorschriften verifiëren en wijzigingen monitoren.
Technisch gerelateerde opdrachten uitvoeren indien nodig.
Het elektronische geplande onderhoudssysteem gebruiken om reparaties en onderhoud te coördineren indien nodig.

Jouw profiel
Wij zoeken een praktische, oplossingsgerichte maritieme professional die weet wat het is om onder druk te presteren – en tegelijk het overzicht behoudt over meerdere eenheden. Je snapt hoe belangrijk uptime en klanttevredenheid zijn in de offshore windindustrie, en je bent gewend om te werken binnen een 24/7-omgeving.

Mbo+- of hbo-werk- en -denkniveau in een technische richting zoals Werktuigbouwkunde, Scheepsbouwkunde, of Maritieme Techniek.
Minimaal 2-5 jaar ervaring als Superintendent of Project Manager, bij voorkeur in de scheepsbouw of maritieme sector.
Goede kennis van scheepsbouwprincipes, constructiemethoden en materialen.
Ervaring met plannings- en productiesystemen.
Vaardig in het lezen en interpreteren van technische tekeningen en schema’s.
Kennis van relevante normen en regelgeving binnen de scheepsbouw.

Communicatie en Samenwerking

Sterke communicatieve vaardigheden in het Nederlands en Engels.
Proactief in het signaleren en oplossen van technische en logistieke problemen.

As our company is not only operating, but also designing and building offshore service vessels, we can adapt the vessel to the need of the client and specific purpose on different projects.

Our vessels have been purpose-built to transfer offshore personnel between shore, offshore wind turbines, construction vessels and other offshore assets. They are spacious, comfortable and with the highest safety specifications.

Offshore utility vessel fleet

The Windcat Workboats fleet consists of 30 vessels of different types.

The MK1 were the first vessels, built in 2006 and 2007, with a length of 15m. These vessels are equipped with Volvo D12 engines driving water jets or fixed pitch propellers
The MK2 vessels were built in 2007 and 2008, 16m in length and equipped with Volvo D16 engines driving fixed pitch propellers
The MK3s are 18m in length built from 2008 onwards. These vessels feature an enlarged wheelhouse giving a larger lounge area for passengers. The vessels are equipped with Volvo D16 engines or MTU2000 V8 engines and different propulsion systems; either fixed or variable pitch propellers or water jets
The MK3 Raised Wheelhouse series is a new development continuing on the MK3 platform creating large forward deck space to carry more goods
The new MK4 series carrying 45 passengers and the 12-passenger version the MK4.2 series, are designed for operation further offshore and in harsher conditions

Each system has its own advantage which enables us to offer you the most suitable vessel for your project.

All vessels in the MK1, MK2 and MK3 series are built and equipped according to the MCA SCV Workboat code. This offers a high safety standard to accommodate 12 passengers safely at sea, up to 60 nautical miles offshore.

The lounge area is fitted with comfortable reclining seats, computer points and a full entertainment set, as well as sanitary facilities and a galley for cooking, coffee and tea.

The forward or aft deck space also allows larger parts and equipment to be carried besides the technicians’ tool bags.

Safe personnel transfer

We are committed to the highest possible standard of operational safety.

Among other safety equipment, the vessels carry life rafts, a rescue net and a sling for emergency situations. The vessels are equipped with high-spec navigation and radio equipment.

Our safety management system has been written in accordance with the ISM standard.

We have expanded our QHSE department, based in the UK, to maintain our high standard and satisfy the standards required by our clients such as SSE, Eon, GE, Vestas, Siemens and RePower.

Our safety compliance is regularly checked by our own internal system of auditing, customer audits and independent companies. The quality management system is ISO 9001 certified.
