IT & innovation at Damen Naval

At Damen Naval, we build cutting-edge marine solutions that play a crucial role in maintaining peace, security, and conflict resolution on the global stage. The formidable impact of our naval ships is rooted in their design, particularly the innovative application of modern (combat) technologies. To engineer, build, and equip our ships with state-of-the-art solutions and optimal configurations, we need IT & Innovation expertise in the following areas:

• IT management & operations
  Ensure Damen Naval office locations are running fully up-to-date applications and systems from infrastructural, security, and application management perspectives. Given the military nature of our projects, cyber security and uninterrupted availability are key priorities.
   

• Data-driven decision-making & Data Science
  Develop robust data infrastructure, analysis, and science solutions to continuously enhance the operability and maintenance of naval vessels as well as business critical decision-making.

• Engineering systems innovations
  Implement and configure our engineering software (MBSE/CAD) to enable our engineers to design and deliver advanced naval solutions.
   

• Onboard & Mission Critical
  Design automation solutions for optimal operability and sequencing of onboard (combat) systems based on naval ship configurations, including top-notch (cyber) security for information, DSP, and IoT transfers.
   

• Future-proof naval innovations
  Leverage cutting-edge technology to boost the (autonomous) capabilities, operability, and deterrence of our naval vessels.
   

In each of these areas we are seeking professionals of all experience levels: (Junior) Engineers, Team Leads, Architects and Project Managers.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

If you want to join Damen Naval and shape the future of maritime technology, these are the key requirements to meet:

• Completed vocational, bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, Robotics, Mechatronics or similar.

• Based on the area and seniority you are seeking, relevant experience with similar solutions and/or in the shipbuilding/maritime sector is required.

• Good command of the English language. Dutch or German command is considered a plus

• Due to the military nature of our projects, only candidates with a permanent EU nationality can be considered.

• Excellent references antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
