THE COMPANY
DEKC Maritime is a Dutch maritime engineering company located in Groningen with a long history in the shipbuilding and offshore industry. DEKC offers concept design, basic design, and detail engineering for new build vessels as well as operational support during the lifetime of a vessel. DEKC assists with modifications and mobilizations, and provides project-specific engineering. Our team of 45 specialists in naval architecture, structural design, mechanical engineering, and detail engineering are able to help with every idea or challenge.
JOB PROFILE
You are responsible for developing new designs and providing design support for our customers as well as leading a team of highly skilled structural engineers and naval architects (junior and senior). You will be first contact for our customers, prepare quotes together with the commercial manager, organize the projects and arrange the project team. You can provide technical information and support to your team, therefore it is necessary that you have sufficient technical knowledge. Furthermore, you are able to support the professional development of the engineers and designers in your team in a motivating encouraging way. You will monitor the progress of the projects and report to the managing director. Delivering a successful project together with your team gives you great satisfaction.
WE ASK
- HBO or WO, specialized in structural design and/or naval architecture
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar/comparable position
- Broad interdisciplinary technical insight in structural /ship design & engineering
- Management qualities and social skills
- Independent and structured work attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communicative skills in both Dutch and English
