Product Engineering Internship

Vacatureomschrijving

As an intern, you will join the Product Engineering department at IHC IQIP. This department is responsible for maintaining and developing standardised products within the IQIP product portfolio, which is where we have a challenging project for you!

Presently, we have one 'step-by-step' assembly procedure, which is for our largest hammer product. This method has been greatly helping our Engineering and Production departments. As such, this approach has now been requested for other equipment ranges.

You will work on this project in close cooperation with our Engineering and Production departments. During your internship, you will make rigging drawings for various sub-assemblies, to define safe hoisting operations.

At the end of your internship you will report all your data in a work instruction which will be frequently used by the relevant department during the assembly process.
All our engineering CAD data will be made available in Teamcenter and the required hoisting plans will be created using Solid Edge.

Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • be in your second or third year of a HBO degree in mechanical engineering
  • have an enthusiasm for new technology and offshore equipment
  • have the ability to plan your own work
  • have the ability to liaise with colleagues at all levels
  • have a strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.

Terms of employment
Royal IHC offer you a challenging Internship/Graduation project within a successful and dynamic company with a reputation for being a worldwide leader in technological innovation.
