Master General Cargo

Job description

As a Master on board General Cargo vessels your primary responsibility is to safely and efficiently navigate the vessel. Leading and motivating the onboard crew and ensure the smooth execution of operational tasks. In this position you proudly represent our company that of the client.
 
Responsibilities:

• Leading the ship's personnel, ensuring smooth execution of the daily operation on board.
• Operating the ship in compliance with all relevant safety regulations and laws.
• Maintaining communication with shore authorities and other vessels.
• Supervising cargo loading, transportation, and unloading.
• Coordinating with the on-duty chief engineer to resolve any operational or technical issues.
• Report to the shipping company about the voyage progress and incidents.

Job requirements

• Mandatory certifications like STCW.
• Unlimited Master license.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Master.
• Excellent navigation and leadership skills.
• Extensive knowledge of maritime laws and regulations.
• Good command of the in English language, verbal and written.
• A positive, proactive approach towards the crew.
• Ability to respond effectively to emergencies.
