Join NKT as a Jr. Weather Downtime & Offshore Operation Analyst in Mumbai, supporting offshore tenders and projects through weather downtime assessments, metocean analysis and operational planning. This is an opportunity to work within an international environment, collaborate across technical disciplines and develop your knowledge of weather risk management through structured training and mentoring.

Support weather analysis across offshore tenders and projects

In this role, you will support weather downtime assessments for offshore tenders and projects, analysing how weather and metocean conditions affect installation and construction activities. You will work with tender and project teams to assess operational weather windows, prepare reports and provide weather-related input for project schedules and execution strategies. You will also contribute to maintaining assessment tools, databases and methodologies.

Your responsibility will be to:

The position is based in Mumbai and works across installation, tender, engineering, planning and metocean teams. Travel includes approximately 1–2 weeks in Rotterdam for introduction and training, plus around two weeks of international travel annually for site visits and team activities.

Structured and curious professional interested in offshore operations

You are curious, organised and keen to learn, with a methodical approach to problem-solving and attention to detail. You are comfortable working in a self-managed way while asking for guidance when needed and can communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You enjoy collaborating across different disciplines and contributing to a team environment.

You also have:

A bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent qualification, in Offshore, Marine, Ocean or Civil Engineering, Naval Architecture, or another relevant technical discipline.

  • 0–3 years of relevant experience in offshore, marine, engineering or project environments.
  • Basic understanding of offshore operations, construction activities, project planning and scheduling principles.
  • Basic understanding of metocean conditions, weather impacts and operational risk assessment.
  • Fluent English and good Microsoft Excel skills, with an interest in data, calculations and analytical tools.
