  • Ensure compliance with applicable requirements, specifications, procedures and HSSEQ/IMED guidelines;
  • Coordinate basic engineering, detailed engineering, production support, trials, testing, delivery and commissioning activities from an engineering perspective;
  • Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including client representatives, classification societies, co-makers and suppliers;
  • Represent the organization towards tactical stakeholders and contribute to effective decision-making;
  • Support continuous improvement of engineering processes, project execution and ways of working;
  • Encourage knowledge development, knowledge sharing and knowledge retention within the department.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

To be successful in this role, you bring:

  • A completed technical bachelor’s degree with 12 to 15 years of relevant experience, or a completed technical master’s degree with 10 to 12 years of relevant experience;
  • IPMA C certification or comparable project management knowledge;
  • Extensive experience in project management and leading multidisciplinary engineering teams;
  • Broad knowledge of engineering concepts, methods and practices;
  • Experience with complex, one-off engineering projects, preferably within the maritime, defense or security sector;
  • Experience in an international, multi-site production or shipbuilding environment;
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build constructive internal and external partnerships;
  • A structured way of working, with a strong focus on planning, organization, quality and management control;
  • A customer-oriented, flexible and result-driven mindset;
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to express ideas, decisions and expectations clearly;
  • Good command of both Dutch and English, written and spoken;
  • Willingness to travel internationally or work abroad temporarily, depending on project requirements.
