Your Work Context

Jan De Nul operates the world's most advanced dredging fleet, delivering marine transport, harbour, coastal protection and reclamation projects. For our activities in Argentina, we are looking for a Hydrographic Surveyor to contribute to the safe, efficient and reliable execution of our dredging works.

Your Role

Within the Survey Department, you organise and carry out the hydrographic and topographic measurements before, during and after dredging works, using state-of-the-art equipment. You determine the most suitable sounding method, perform the measurements and produce maps with specialised software. You are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of all survey data, drawings and records.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Planning and executing topographic and bathymetric surveys at various sites.
  • Surveying and inspecting completed and planned works.
  • Converting project drawings into designs according to project requirements.
  • Installing, calibrating and operating survey equipment, instruments and software.
  • Ensuring proper data collection, recording and quality control.
  • Maintaining and correctly handling all assigned equipment.

You can rely on the support of your Project Survey Manager and colleagues across the project team.

Your base in Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires is your base, while projects may take you anywhere in Argentina. Flexibility to work on projects across the country, and an independent spirit.
