About the role:

Location: Singapore

Hours: Full-time

Reporting into the Regional Manager for APAC, this role is responsible for the management of the planning, scheduling, financial and administrative requirements of engineering and rental projects of Motive APAC. The primary objective of the role is to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the client’s requirements.

The new Project Manager will play an integral part in ensuring that success continues, by guiding our projects efficiently, supporting our clients and helping to build our business globally. You’ll have the opportunity to take real ownership of projects across the APAC region, working with teams and clients across a growing international business.

About the team:

Responsibilities:

People

• Adopting and promoting the Motive Offshore Group People Values and ensuring their use is embedded throughout day-to-day tasks and decision making.
• Liaise closely with the Sales & Operations Teams to ensure all aspects of secured work is handed over effectively, is clearly understood, and is communicated accurately amongst the PM and Operational Delivery teams.
• Liaise closely with the Operational Delivery team to ensure scopes of work, project specifications, priorities, plans, schedules, and any other information required to successfully deliver against all clients’ requirements are clearly communicated, understood, and agreed.
• Liaising with other members of Motive APAC and Group to ensure our service is supplied to the highest levels of quality.
• Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project objectives.
• Facilitate team meetings, workshops, and discussions as needed.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and external partners
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships throughout project execution.
• Identify opportunities for repeat business and support the sales team in developing future opportunities.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution.
• Monitor project financial performance including revenue recognition, forecasting and cost control ensuring at all times that project margins are achieved.
• Manage project variations, change orders and commercial claims in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Support Accounts and Commercial teams in resolving invoicing disputes and ensuring timely payment collection.
• Monitor project financial performance including revenue recognition, forecasting and cost control.

Planet

• Responsible for ensuring that project activities comply with all relevant Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) processes, procedures, and regulatory requirements. 
• Coordinate project execution across multiple APAC locations and ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements whilst ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
• Work in accordance with Motive policies and procedures continually looking for and implementing opportunities for improvement and increased efficiencies. 
• Support the implementation of regional policies and procedures that support sustainability and corporate social responsibility
• Be a positive ambassador for Motive Offshore Group Ltd.
• Support projects and business activities throughout Southeast Asia, Australia and wider APAC regions.

Product

• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, including tasks, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Allocate resources effectively to ensure project success.
• Coordinate regional resource planning including personnel, equipment and vessel schedules to maximise utilisation and delivery efficiency.
• Work with regional facilities to ensure equipment readiness and mobilisation schedules are maintained.
• Monitor project progress, track milestones, and manage potential delays.
• Identify and manage project risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide project updates and manage expectations.
• Manage project budgets and ensure that costs remain within approved limits.
• Conduct regular quality checks to ensure project deliverables meet established standards.
• Handle scope changes through formal change control processes.
• Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders and senior management.
• Ensure timely project closure, obtain stakeholder sign-off, and conduct project reviews.
• Document project processes, lessons learned, and best practices for future reference.
• Liaise with third party contractors to ensure full compliance with the specific requirements of a project and manage contractors when on site

Required skills / knowledge:

• Significant experience in the management and delivery of offshore engineering, marine construction, renewables or energy projects including flexibles, flowlines, umbilicals, mooring systems, subsea installation and associated support services
• Understanding of asset utilisation, mobilisation planning and offshore logistics.
• Thorough knowledge of formal project management methods, processes, procedures, techniques, and tools. 
• Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes.
• A degree/HND (or equivalent) in a relevant subject (preferably in an Engineering discipline).
• Experience and expertise in using Microsoft Project.
• Experience of managing complex engineering projects in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
• Experience of leading a projects team. 
• Be recognised as a positive driving force within the business.
