Senior Tender Engineer – Survey, UXO & IRM

As a Senior Tender Engineer at N-Sea, you play a key role in developing technically strong and competitive proposals across our Survey, UXO and IRM service lines. You are the crucial link between technical, operational and commercial teams, ensuring that tender solutions are robust, executable and aligned with both client and internal requirements.

Working closely with Tender Managers, you contribute to winning complex projects by translating client requirements into clear technical strategies and deliverable plans.

Key responsibilities

• Develop technical solutions for complex tenders, ensuring they are complete, competitive and executable.
• Analyse Scope of Work and define methodologies, project plans and operational approaches.
• Lead the preparation of technical deliverables including schedules, workability analyses, vessel spreads and resource requirements.
• Identify technical risks and opportunities, and ensure these are reflected in execution plans, schedules and cost inputs.
• Ensure alignment between technical solutions and cost estimates.
• Act as the central point of contact for all technical aspects within the tender team.
• Coordinate input from engineering, operations, subcontractors and supporting departments.
• Support supplier and subcontractor engagement, including defining scopes of work.
• Collaborate closely with Tender Managers during bid preparation, reviews and client clarifications.
• Lead or independently execute standard tenders or framework call-offs where appropriate.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of tender processes, tools and technical standards.
• Coach and support junior engineers within the tender team.

Qualifications

• Strong technical and operational understanding of offshore or subsea projects.
• Structured and analytical approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to translate complex scopes into practical execution strategies.
• Proactive, hands-on mindset with strong ownership of deliverables.
• Confident communicator, able to explain technical concepts clearly to stakeholders.
• Team player, capable of coordinating across multidisciplinary teams.
• Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
• 6+ years of industry experience, with at least 4 years in tendering or offshore operations.
• Affinity with Survey, UXO and/or IRM operations.
• Strong planning and analytical skills, including workability and operational assessments.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to occasionally go offshore to support understanding of operations.
