Sales & Commercial Lead

Job descriptionAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Sales & Commercial Lead to drive commercial performance and manage strategic sales activities within a dynamic energy environment.
This role offers the opportunity to lead complex negotiations, oversee key commercial agreements, and build strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. You will play a critical role in maximizing commercial value while ensuring seamless coordination between commercial and operational activities.

Key Responsibilities:Commercial Strategy & Business Performance

• Contribute to the development and execution of commercial sales strategies.
• Identify opportunities to enhance value creation and optimize commercial outcomes.
• Monitor market dynamics and support strategic decision-making.
• Provide commercial insights and recommendations to support business objectives.

Contract Management & Negotiations

• Lead negotiations with customers, commercial partners, and service providers.
• Draft, review, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Ensure contractual obligations are met and commercial risks are effectively managed.
• Support commercial discussions relating to sales, transportation, processing, and service arrangements.

Commercial Operations

• Oversee commercial activities associated with product sales and delivery planning.
• Manage pricing mechanisms, settlements, and contractual adjustments.
• Ensure accurate administration and reporting of commercial transactions.
• Coordinate with operational teams to support efficient execution of commercial commitments.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as a key point of contact for commercial and contractual matters.
• Collaborate closely with finance, legal, operational, and technical teams.
• Facilitate alignment between commercial objectives and business operations.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure all commercial activities are conducted in line with relevant regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Maintain robust commercial governance and documentation processes.
• Support audits, compliance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job requirementsWhat We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Law, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in commercial, sales, business development, or contract management roles.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Proven ability to manage complex contractual agreements.
• Excellent analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is considered an advantage.
