About the role:

Location: Singapore

Hours: Full-time

The APAC Commercial Executive is responsible for the development, coordination and submission of technical and commercial proposals across the APAC region. The role supports the sales process through the preparation of tender responses, quotations and commercial documentation, while coordinating inputs from business leaders, sales managers and technical teams to deliver accurate, compliant and competitive proposals.

The Commercial Executive maintains opportunity and customer information within Salesforce and other business systems, supports commercial reporting and pipeline management activities, and provides project coordination support following contract award to ensure a seamless transition from sales to project execution and the successful delivery of client projects. The position involves regular customer interaction, proposal presentations, negotiations and occasional travel throughout the APAC region.

You will be joining a dedicated and collaborative team, with key operations based in the APAC region. As our Motive team continues to expand, our APAC region plays an integral role in supporting the business's operations across the wider Asia region.

Responsibilities:

People

  • Adopting and promoting the Motive Offshore Group People Values and ensuring their use is embedded throughout day-to-day tasks and decision making.
  • Develop strong working relations with key stakeholders – clients, colleagues etc
  • Visit clients face to face to discuss technical and commercial ongoing leads.
  • Liaise and collaborate with all relevant departments within Motive regarding bespoke equipment enquiries when required.
  • To be a positive ambassador for Motive Offshore Group Ltd

Planet

  • Promote sustainable practices in project planning and execution, focusing on energy efficiency, waste reduction, and minimising the carbon footprint.
  • Advocate for and integrate environmentally friendly and energy-efficient products or services in client proposals and solutions.
  • Support the implementation of regional policies and procedures that support sustainability and corporate social responsibility
  • Support customers by identifying potential environmental impacts of implementing the company’s products or solutions and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Adhere to and promote Motive’s sustainability initiatives, contributing to Net Zero objectives.

Product

  • Review and analyse customer specifications, requirements, and tender documents.
  • Coordinate the development of technical and commercial proposals, including scope of work, proposed solutions and project timelines.
  • Prepare commercial offers, ensuring competitiveness while maintaining profitability. 
  • Prepare cost estimates, based on project specifications. 
  • Assess risks and opportunities in project bids and incorporate them into the proposal. 
  • Liaise with clients to clarify requirements, respond to queries, and provide technical support during the proposal phase. 
  • Present proposals to clients and participate in negotiations as needed. 
  • Ensure that all proposal documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with both client requirements and company standards. 
  • Prepare and deliver a comprehensive handover package to the project execution team upon award of contract. 
  • Participate in project kick-off meetings to ensure a smooth transition from proposal to execution. 
  • Coordinate inputs from business leaders, sales managers, technical specialists and project delivery teams throughout the proposal process. 
  • Maintain accurate opportunity, customer and pipeline information within Salesforce and other business systems. 
  • Support commercial reporting, pipeline reviews, forecasting activities and bid tracking. 

Required skills / knowledge:

  • Technical, engineering or commercial experience within offshore, subsea, energy, marine or related industries.
  • Experience preparing tenders, bids, quotations or technical proposals.
  • Experience supporting sales pipelines, opportunity management and commercial reporting activities.
  • Experience coordinating customer tenders from initial enquiry through to contract award. 
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Understanding of cost estimating, pricing and commercial requirements.
  • Fluent in Mandarin, both verbal and written would be an advantage but not necessary
  • Well-organised with a customer-oriented approach.
  • Good presentation skills, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Commercially aware, proactive and solutions oriented
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively across multiple departments.
  • Willingness and ability to undertake occasional travel within the APAC region.
