Your Role

As part of a large procurement organisation, you will be responsible for managing our procurement activities at an operational level for your relevant category. You will be supported in this by Procurement Excellence and a team of category buyers

As a Buyer, you will be jointly responsible for the procurement of equipment, spare parts and consumables, with a specific focus on all electrical and/or electronic components located on board or at our shipyards. Your main tasks:

  • You will request quotations, compare prices and discuss technical issues where necessary.
  • You will negotiate prices, delivery times and payment terms, place orders and monitor agreed delivery times, as
  • well as the quality and quantity of goods delivered.
  • You will check invoices and handle the administrative processing of orders.

What do you need?

You hold a Bachelor’s degree in electromechanics, electrical engineering or electronics, or an A2 qualification with relevant work experience in a similar role as a Purchaser. You have a keen interest in and affinity with as broad a spectrum of technical fields as possible. You are fluent in Dutch and English and will be based at our office in Aalst.
