About us

The number of vessels under Amasus’ commercial management grew from 10–15 in July 2006 to 80 by the end of 2025. Not only has the fleet expanded significantly, but our team has grown as well. Young and experienced professionals, with both nautical and economic backgrounds, work together and shape the entrepreneurial spirit needed to achieve our ambitions.

Composition of the team

Apart from strengthening our fleet we have radically expanded the Amasus team. Young and experienced people, all nautically and economically trained, have joined us to reinforce and enhance the entrepreneurial spirit we need to achieve our ambitions.

Mission

For its clients, Amasus acts as a strategic partner in optimizing and sustainably shaping waterborne transport. By developing and promoting innovative and sustainable maritime concepts, Amasus actively contributes to more efficient logistics processes. Reducing the impact on people and the environment is always central and a driving force behind everything we do.

As a specialist in shortsea shipping, Amasus is steering towards a sustainable future. With our versatile fleet, we connect ports and work towards responsible transport. From our home base on the Wadden Sea, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we feel a strong responsibility towards the environment.

In our first CSR report, we share our ambitions, challenges, and progress towards greater sustainability, with transparency as a guiding principle.

Corporate social responsibility

By realizing our ambitions, Amasus creates economic value. We always combine this with social responsibility and a healthy living environment. For us, economic value goes hand in hand with corporate responsibility.

Amasus actively pursues responsible business practices by maintaining a balance between economic, social, and environmental aspects within our corporate policy. Corporate social responsibility is structurally embedded in everything we do, ensuring it remains a lasting part of our organization.

The Amasus Code of Conduct is a guiding document that emphasizes our strong commitment to ethical and professional behavior, compliance with laws and regulations, and responsible governance. This applies to all aspects of our operations and to everyone we work with, including employees, stakeholders, clients, business partners, and suppliers.

This policy applies to Amasus Shipping B.V. and the directly affiliated companies within the Amasus Group.

Ambition

Amasus aims to establish a strong brand position within a select number of shortsea market segments: the heavy lift, RoRo, and offshore markets. Together with our partners, we are building a fleet specifically designed for these segments. Our primary focus is on vessels under 5,000 tons that fit within our specialized markets.

Since 2008, we have continuously added new vessels to further strengthen the fleet composition of Amasus Shipping and Amasus Offshore, enabling us to respond optimally to the specific demands of our market segments.
