Welcome aboard De Bock Maritiem
De Bock Maritiem is a driven and young shipping company with enthusiastic and professional employees. With its own ships and highly trained personnel, De Bock Maritiem is successful in sea-river shipping. De Bock Maritiem specializes in dry cargo vessels with low air draft and shallow draught. From its office in Alkmaar, De Bock Maritiem is working to perfect its specialization in sea-river shipping. "Inland-outland" transport, as it is also called, involves shipping cargo across coastal and inland waterways without transshipment. This has several advantages: it is faster, cheaper, and reduces the risk of cargo damage. In addition, De Bock Maritiem offers complete ship management services under its Safety and Quality Services. Working at De Bock Maritiem means working for a modern shipping company, with young and ambitious people at the helm.
Quality and dedication are paramount at De Bock Maritiem. We're always looking for people who, like us, are eager to achieve their ambitions. With us, you can grow on deck, on the bridge, in the engine room, or at our office in our home port of Alkmaar.
We are looking for seafarers with a passion for inland navigation. Some experience in inland navigation is a plus, as is possession of PECs and/or inland navigation papers. However, paperwork is not required, as long as one is willing to gain in-depth knowledge of ports and inland navigation and is willing to sail without a pilot whenever possible.
Our relatively small coasters generally sail without an engineer, but with technical support from shore. Crew members work on deck, on the bridge, and in the engine room. Dual-certified seafarers (Marofs) are therefore preferred. Here too, dual certification is not required, as long as some basic technical knowledge and a willingness to delve deeper into the technical aspects.
At De Bock Maritiem, we value personal contact and a sense of connection with the ship, crew, and company. Come meet us and experience what we can do for you at De Bock Maritiem.
