Back Office Employee


Working in our Back Office department, you will fulfill two roles: firstly, providing customer support and, secondly, delivering order fulfillment. Your responsibility starts with the creation of a customer offer. If the offer becomes an order, you will be responsible for entering this on our ERP system and assigning the order to the appropriate department within IHC Services.

If the order concerns the delivery of hardware (parts), you will be assigned responsibility for its fulfilment. You will need to ensure that the order is delivered according to customer specification, within budget and on time, as well as arranging any customer inspection, documents and transportation requirements. Regular contact with the customer to report on the progress of outstanding orders will also be part of your role.

In this role, you will liaise closely with our customers and colleagues from engineering, account management, work preparation, purchasing, logistics and our international service centres. You will be the mainstay for planning and progress, as well as managing the financial, and technical risks of the order.

You will work on projects according to our OSBIT (on specification, budget and in time) processes and be a natural coordinator. We are looking for someone who is proactive, critical and gives feedback to improve working practices. In addition, you should also be able to keep an excellent overview of workloads and have good attention to detail when managing orders.

To be eligible for this role, you will need to have:

  • a bachelors degree
  • a minimum of 3 years' experience in an equivalent role, within a technical order-based organisation
  • an interest in working in a technical environment
  • excellent planning and organisational skills
  • effective communication skills
  • the ability to work well in a team
  • a self-starting, structured and proactive approach
  • a critical, flexible and curious nature
  • a good command of Dutch and English, both written and verbal.
